UV HD MC Slim C HMC Camera Filter by K&F Concept 40.5mm (Model SB6381)
K&F Concept UV HD MC Slim C HMC 40.5mm is a slim circular ultraviolet filter designed to reduce UV haze and protect the front element of compatible camera lenses. The filter's multi-coated surfaces minimize reflections and ghosting, helping to preserve image clarity and color fidelity. Its slim profile is suitable for compact lenses with a 40.5mm filter thread and reduces the risk of vignetting on wide-angle optics.
The multi-coated (MC) hard multi-coated (HMC) surfaces improve light transmission and reduce flare and ghosting across the visible spectrum. The slim construction lowers the chance of vignetting on wide-angle lenses while still providing mechanical protection for the front element against dust, moisture and minor impacts. The filter maintains neutral color balance for accurate rendering of tones and contrast in outdoor and travel photography.
Screw the filter gently onto the lens front threads until it is secure but not overtightened. Use the slim side when mounting on lenses with limited clearance to reduce the risk of vignetting. For cleaning, use a blower or soft brush to remove loose particles, then a microfibre cloth or lens tissue with lens cleaner designed for coated optics. Remove and store the filter in a protective case when not in use to avoid scratches.
For best results in landscape or distant-subject shooting, use the UV filter continuously to reduce atmospheric haze without altering color balance. When working at very wide angles, check for vignetting after mounting; if present, consider an ultra-slim adapter or using the filter only when lens protection is required. Regularly inspect and clean the multi-coated surfaces to maintain optimal transmission and minimize flare.
