Adjustable Neutral Density Filter ND32–ND512 for DJI Osmo Pocket 3 by K&F, model SB8562
The Adjustable Neutral Density Filter ND32–ND512 by K&F, model SB8562, is made for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and compatible compact cameras. This variable ND filter reduces incoming light by 5 to 9 stops, allowing precise control of exposure in bright environments. With a continuously adjustable density range from ND32 up to ND512, the filter helps achieve slower shutter speeds for motion blur, smoother video capture at lower frame rates, and wider apertures for creative background separation without overexposure.
The variable design replaces multiple fixed ND filters, saving space and enabling rapid adjustments on location. Optical glass and multi-coating maintain color fidelity and reduce reflections while minimizing vignetting on small-sensor cameras. The filter’s stepped density range offers fine-grain control over exposure and motion effects, making it suitable for both photographic and cinematic workflows.
Attach the filter to the Osmo Pocket 3 or compatible camera according to the camera’s accessory mount instructions. Rotate the adjustable ring to set the desired density between ND32 and ND512 while monitoring exposure through the camera display or histogram. For video, choose a density that allows a shutter speed close to the 180-degree rule (approximately double the frame rate) to achieve natural motion blur. For stills, increase density to use wider apertures without overexposing highlights. Check for color cast after adjustment and compensate with white balance if necessary.
Start with lower densities in partially shaded or mixed-light environments and increase density in direct sun. Verify composition and focus after attaching the filter, as the darker view may affect autofocus performance. Clean the filter surface with a microfiber cloth before use to avoid artifacts in images.
