How to use

Mount the detector on a ceiling or high on a wall following the included installation instructions and local regulations. Insert the two AA batteries (supplied), power the unit and allow the sensors to stabilise. Test the alarm and voice prompts using the device test function after installation and periodically thereafter. Replace batteries when the low-battery indicator activates and follow the manufacturer’s guidance for sensor life and replacement.

Usage recommendations

Install one detector in each sleeping area and at least one on every floor for comprehensive coverage. Avoid placing the unit directly above kitchens or bathrooms where cooking fumes or steam may cause nuisance alarms; keep it at least a few metres from cooking appliances. Regularly test the alarm and replace batteries at least annually or as indicated by the detector.
