Hex Socket 1/2" 10 mm King Tony KY433510MR - 6-point hand tool
King Tony 6-point hex socket with a 1/2" drive and 10 mm internal size is a hand tool designed for manual fastening and loosening of hex fasteners. The socket is intended for use with standard 1/2" ratchets, extensions and torque wrenches to deliver reliable torque transfer in automotive, mechanical maintenance and general workshop tasks. Its 6-point geometry engages hex heads on flat surfaces to reduce rounding and ensure secure contact during operation.
The 6-point configuration provides improved contact with hex fasteners, minimizing slippage and rounding under load. A 1/2" drive interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of ratchets and torque tools commonly used in professional and hobbyist settings. The compact 10 mm size suits tight spaces while still enabling effective torque application. The socket is manufactured to meet practical workshop requirements for durability and consistent fit.
Select a 1/2" drive ratchet, extension or torque wrench and attach the socket by aligning the square drive and pushing until it engages. Place the 10 mm hex socket over the fastener head and apply turning force through the ratchet or torque tool in the required direction. When using a torque wrench, set the required torque value before applying force. After use, release the socket by depressing the drive ball or detent on the ratchet and store the socket in a suitable holder to prevent damage.
Use the socket only with compatible 1/2" drive tools and select the correct torque settings for fasteners to avoid over-tightening. Inspect the socket for wear or deformation before use and replace if damaged. For better grip and reduced wear on fastener heads, prefer 6-point engagement over 12-point sockets for heavily loaded bolts.
