Polypropylene Spunbond Filter Cartridge Klarwod PS10-1 — 10" 1 µm
Klarwod PS10-1 is a polypropylene spunbond filter cartridge with a nominal retention of 1 µm and a length of 10 inches. It is designed for particulate removal in water filtration systems and is suitable for pre-filtration and fine filtration stages in residential, commercial and light industrial applications. The cartridge is manufactured from spunbonded polypropylene, providing typical chemical resistance of polypropylene and compatibility with standard 10" filter housings.
The spunbond polypropylene construction delivers consistent particle retention and low extractables, while maintaining structural stability under normal flow conditions. The 1 µm nominal rating enables effective removal of fine suspended solids, improving downstream protection for reverse osmosis membranes, ultraviolet systems and point-of-use fixtures. The cartridge’s compatibility with standard 10" housings simplifies replacement and maintenance.
Install the cartridge into a compatible 10" filter housing following the housing manufacturer's instructions. Ensure correct orientation matching the housing flow direction and tighten housing to achieve a secure seal. Flush the cartridge with water after installation until the water runs clear to remove any loose particles. Replace the cartridge according to system differential pressure rise or scheduled maintenance intervals to maintain filtration efficiency.
Use the Klarwod PS10-1 cartridge in well-maintained housings, avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures beyond polypropylene limits, and select compatible cleaning chemicals to preserve cartridge life. Monitor pressure drop and change the cartridge when flow rate decreases significantly or when recommended replacement intervals are reached.
