Klarwod polypropylene spunbond filter cartridge 10 µm, model PS10-10
The Klarwod polypropylene spunbond filter cartridge PS10-10 provides nominal 10 µm retention in a depth-style nonwoven element designed for mechanical sediment and particulate removal in water treatment and pre-filtration systems. Constructed from spunbond polypropylene, the cartridge fits standard inline housings intended for depth filtration and delivers consistent particulate capture while resisting many common chemicals encountered in water filtration. It is intended for residential and light-commercial uses where a stable, low-maintenance disposable filter element is required.
The spunbond polypropylene structure offers a uniform pore matrix that maintains consistent flow and filtration efficiency at the 10 µm nominal rating. Chemically resistant polypropylene composition reduces the risk of degradation when exposed to typical water treatment agents. The cartridge’s depth-style design traps particles throughout the media rather than only on the surface, extending service life under normal sediment loads. Its compatibility with common inline housings simplifies replacement and reduces system downtime.
Install the cartridge into an appropriate inline housing following the housing manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring correct orientation and a secure seal. Rinse the system after installation to remove trapped installation debris and air. Replace the cartridge when differential pressure across the element increases noticeably or when flow rate declines to an unacceptable level. Dispose of used cartridges in accordance with local regulations for plastic waste.
The cartridge is suitable for typical municipal and well water containing sand, rust, and other mechanical particulates. Do not use with hot water above the temperature limits specified by the housing manufacturer and avoid exposure to strong solvents or oxidizing agents beyond normal water treatment chemicals. For optimal performance, pair with pre- or post-treatment stages appropriate to your water quality and service conditions.
