Polypropylene Nonwoven Filter Cartridge 10–20 µm, Klarwod PS10-20
Polypropylene Nonwoven Filter Cartridge 10–20 µm, Klarwod PS10-20
The Klarwod Polypropylene Nonwoven Filter Cartridge PS10-20 provides mechanical filtration with a nominal retention rating of 10–20 µm. Manufactured from layered polypropylene nonwoven media, this cartridge is designed to capture suspended solids, sediment and particulate contamination in water systems. It is intended for use in pre-filtration stages, including household and industrial water filters, reverse osmosis pre-filters and standard filtration housings compatible with this cartridge size and type.
The polypropylene construction offers chemical compatibility with a broad range of common water treatment chemicals and provides dimensional stability during operation. The nonwoven depth media traps particles throughout the cartridge rather than only on the surface, helping to extend service life between replacements. The nominal 10–20 µm retention balances effective sediment removal with flow rate, making the cartridge suitable for systems that require moderate particulate control without excessive pressure drop.
Install the cartridge into a compatible filtration housing following the housing manufacturer’s instructions and ensure proper sealing to avoid bypass. Flush the system after installation to remove trapped air and initial fines from the media until discharge is clear. Monitor pressure differential across the cartridge during operation; replace the cartridge when flow rate or pressure drop indicates significant loading. Dispose of used cartridges according to local waste management regulations.
For optimal performance, pair this 10–20 µm polypropylene cartridge with appropriate pre- and post-treatment stages such as sediment pre-filters or activated carbon stages when reducing chlorine taste and odor is required. Regularly inspect and replace the cartridge based on measured pressure drop, visual water quality changes or according to a scheduled maintenance interval suitable for the specific water source.
