Abrasive Fibre Disc KLINGSPOR CS 561 180 mm grit 60 25 pcs (MPN 11063)
The KLINGSPOR CS 561 abrasive fibre disc is a 180 mm diameter, grit 60 disc designed for metal and steel surface grinding, deburring and weld seam processing. The fibre backing provides stability and even material removal when used with angle grinders, making it suitable for coarse stock removal, shaping and surface preparation prior to finishing. Supplied as a pack of 25 discs for workshop use and jobsite tasks.
The fibre construction offers a consistent contact with the workpiece, reducing chatter and producing uniform material removal across the disc surface. Grit 60 provides an effective balance between cutting speed and surface finish for coarse grinding tasks. The 180 mm diameter fits common angle grinders and supports efficient coverage of larger surfaces while maintaining control for precise shaping and seam blending.
Fit the 180 mm fibre disc to a compatible angle grinder according to the grinder manufacturer’s mounting instructions and ensure the disc is centered and securely fastened. Start the grinder at a controlled speed and apply steady, even pressure to the workpiece; allow the abrasive to do the cutting rather than forcing the disc. Move the tool with smooth, overlapping passes to achieve an even surface and avoid concentrating on a single spot to reduce the risk of gouging or excessive heat buildup.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, gloves and respiratory protection when grinding metal. Use the disc within the speed range specified by the angle grinder and avoid side-loading beyond the disc’s intended use. For best results, use grit 60 for initial coarse removal and follow with finer abrasives for finishing stages.
