Cable stripper Knipex 12 49 21

The Knipex 12 49 21 cable stripper automatically strips insulation from single-, multi- and fine-stranded conductors with standard insulation in the range 0.03–10.0 mm². The tool combines a fiberglass-reinforced plastic body with oil-hardened special tool steel blades, a recessed wire cutter and an ergonomically shaped handle with a soft-plastic zone for a firm grip. It is lightweight (approx. 87 g) and designed for precision work without the need for manual fine adjustment.

How to use

Place the conductor in the jaws and close the handles until the tool grips the cable. The stripping blade automatically adjusts to the conductor diameter and insulation thickness; pull the tool along the cable to remove the insulation without manual fine adjustment. Use the recessed cutter to cut stranded or single conductors within the specified ranges. Ensure the blade block and length stop are correctly set or replaced as needed.

Usage recommendations

Not suitable for highly flexible, armoured or multi-layered insulation materials. Make sure to use the tool only within the stated capacity range (0.03–10.0 mm²) and follow standard safety practices when working with live or potentially live conductors.
