Diagonal pliers Knipex 25 21 160
The Knipex 25 21 160 diagonal pliers are precision hand tools made from forged chromium-vanadium electric steel with oil hardening. At 160 mm length and a weight of approximately 112 g, they combine pointed, half-round jaws and knurled gripping surfaces to support finer gripping and cutting work. The cutting edges are designed for soft, medium-hard and hard wire and are additionally induction hardened to a cutting-edge hardness of approximately 61 HRC.
Pointed, half-round jaws allow precise access in confined areas while knurled gripping surfaces improve hold on small components. The cutting edges are induction hardened for extended life and can cut soft, medium-hard and hard wire. The forged chromium-vanadium steel construction with oil hardening provides durability and resistance to wear.
Hold the pliers by the insulated handles and position the pointed jaws around the wire or small part to be cut or gripped. Apply steady pressure to close the jaws until the wire is cut or the component is held securely. Use the knurled surfaces for firmer grip when manipulating small items. For cutting, place the wire as close as possible to the cutting edge for a clean cut.
For safe, long-lasting performance, avoid using the pliers on hardened fasteners beyond the specified wire types, and keep the tool clean and lightly oiled. Inspect the cutting edges regularly for damage; replace the tool if the hardened cutting edges are chipped or excessively worn.
