Bolt cutter pliers Knipex CoBolt Chromium-vanadium steel 200 mm
Bolt cutter pliers Knipex CoBolt Chromium-vanadium steel 200 mm
Knipex CoBolt bolt cutter pliers in 200 mm length are designed for precision cutting of soft and hard wire, piano wire and for cutting bolts, nails and rivets up to 5.2 mm diameter. Manufactured from chrome vanadium heavy‑duty steel with forged, oil‑hardened construction and induction‑hardened cutting edges, these pliers combine compact size with high cutting capacity and repeatable performance. The slim two‑colour multi‑component handles provide a comfortable grip and easier transport while the improved joint design delivers efficient transmission of force for cleaner cuts.
The tool offers induction‑hardened cutting edges with a hardness around 64 HRC for durable edge retention and reliable cutting of tough materials. The most efficient joint design ensures exceptional cutting performance and low effort. A micro‑structured cutting edge improves the ability to cut larger cross‑sections and the integrated gripping surface below the joint allows gripping and pulling wires from about 1.0 mm diameter. The large contact surface on the handles distributes pressure for greater comfort during extended use.
Position the cutting edges around the material to be cut as close as possible to the head of a bolt or along the intended cut line on wire. Apply steady pressure on the handles until the material is severed; the optimized joint reduces the effort required. For gripping or pulling, use the textured surface below the joint to hold wires of about 1.0 mm diameter and apply controlled pulling force. Avoid cutting materials exceeding the stated maximum diameter to prevent damage to the cutting edges.
For prolonged service life, clean the pliers after use, remove any residues and lubricate the joint periodically. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves when cutting hardened wire. Do not use the tool as a hammer or for prying to prevent deformation or fracture of the cutting edges and joint.
