Diagonal pliers Knipex 76 12 125
The Knipex 76 12 125 diagonal pliers are compact cutting tools designed for precise cutting of soft and hard wire, including piano wire. Forged from vanadium electric steel and oil-hardened, the pliers combine toughness with a slim 125 mm profile. The cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 63 HRC and are ground to sharp, precisely aligned edges for reliable, repeatable cuts. The pliers feature a lap joint and comfortable plastic handles for controlled handling during precision tasks.
Induction-hardened cutting edges (approx. 63 HRC) provide long-lasting sharpness and resistance to wear. Precisely aligned, sharp edges enable clean cuts on soft wire, hard wire and piano wire. Forged vanadium electric steel with oil hardening ensures strength and durability in a compact 125 mm tool. Lightweight construction and plastic handles support comfortable, accurate use in confined spaces and fine work.
Position the workpiece as close as possible to the cutting edges, apply steady pressure on the handles and close the pliers in one controlled motion to achieve a clean cut. For best results with hard or piano wire, ensure the wire is supported and cut in a single decisive action to avoid bending or fraying. After use, wipe the cutting edges clean and store the pliers in a dry place to preserve the hardened cutting surface.
Use the pliers only for cutting tasks appropriate to their design: soft and hard wire, including piano wire. Do not use the tool for cutting tempered bolts, nails or other inappropriate materials that exceed the specified application; this may damage the cutting edges. Regularly check and keep the cutting edges free of debris and lightly oil the joint to maintain smooth operation.
