Diagonal pliers Knipex 79 22 125 are precision cutting pliers designed for ultra-fine cutting tasks in electronics and fine mechanics. Forged from chrome vanadium ball-bearing steel, they feature very precisely ground and sharp cutting edges with very small bevels for exact cuts on delicate electronic components; a bevel-free version for flush cutting is also available. The cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 64 HRC. The pliers are approximately 125 mm long, weigh about 60 g and are roughly 20% lighter than conventional electronics pliers, making them easy to handle for extended precision work.

How to use

Hold the Knipex diagonal pliers by the insulated multi-component handles and position the cutting edges around the wire or component to be cut. Apply steady pressure until the cutting edges sever the material. For flush cutting, use the bevel-free variant if available and position the edges close to the workpiece. After use, clean any debris from the cutting edges and store the pliers in a dry place to protect the hardened cutting surfaces.

Usage recommendations

Use these precision pliers only on materials within their intended range (thin wires and small components). Do not use them for cutting hardened wire, nails, or other materials beyond the specified capacity to avoid damage.
