The Knipex 79 62 125 diagonal pliers are precision cutters designed for ultra-fine cutting tasks in electronics and fine mechanics. Forged from chrome vanadium ball-bearing steel, these 125 mm pliers combine a very sharp, precisely ground cutting edge with induction hardening (cutting edge hardness approx. 64 HRC) for durable, exact cuts. They are approximately 20% lighter than conventional electronics pliers and feature an ergonomic multi-component plastic handle and a bolted joint for smooth, low-friction operation.
The tool offers very small bevels on the cutting edges for exact cuts on delicate electronic components and is also available in a version without bevel for flush cutting. A lead catcher prevents uncontrolled loss of cut wire ends. The bolted joint with carefully manufactured joint surfaces ensures even movement throughout the full opening range, while the smooth-running double spring provides a gentle, consistent opening action. Overall construction emphasizes durability and precise control.
Position the cutting edges around the wire or component lead close to the desired cutting point, taking care to align the small bevels for an exact cut. Squeeze the handles evenly until the cutting edges close fully; the bolted joint and double spring support controlled action. For flush cuts, use the variant without bevel if available. After use, wipe the pliers clean and store them in a dry place to preserve the hardened cutting edges.
