The Knipex 97 33 02 cable crimper is a manual crimping tool with a round magazine and five interchangeable dies. It is designed for precise crimping of a wide range of connector types and conductor cross-sections: non‑insulated open plug type connectors (plug widths 4.8 and 6.3 mm) for 0.5–6 mm², insulated terminals, plug connectors and butt connectors for 0.5–6 mm², insulated and non‑insulated end sleeves (ferrules) for 0.25–6 mm², larger ferrules for 10 / 16 / 25 mm², as well as non‑insulated crimp terminals, tube and compression cable lugs in accordance with DIN 46234 and DIN 46235 and non‑insulated crimp, butt and press connectors in accordance with DIN 46341 and DIN 46267. The tool weighs approximately 0.87 kg and has an ergonomic handle shape with the Knipex two‑colour finish.

How to use

Select the appropriate die from the round magazine that matches the connector type and conductor cross‑section. Insert the connector with the stripped conductor into the die, then squeeze the handles until the crimp is completed. Release the handles and remove the crimped connector. For larger ferrules, change to the matching die before crimping. Follow usual safety precautions: ensure the cable is de‑energised and verify the crimp mechanically and, where required, electrically.
