Concrete screw Koelner/Rawlplug M8 x 100 mm, hex head, pack of 2
Concrete screw Koelner/Rawlplug M8 x 100 mm, hex head, pack of 2 is a metal threaded fastener designed for direct fixing into solid concrete and suitable masonry. The M8 diameter and 100 mm length provide sufficient embedment for medium-duty mechanical loads, while the hex head allows installation with a socket or torque-controlled wrench. Supplied as a pack of two, these concrete screws are intended for construction and installation tasks where reliable anchoring without separate plastic plugs is preferable.
These concrete screws offer immediate load-bearing capability after installation and eliminate the need for additional expansion plugs in appropriate substrates. The hex head design enables controlled tightening and easy removal if required. The metal thread profile is engineered to cut into concrete and masonry, providing a secure mechanical grip suitable for fastening metal profiles, brackets and rails.
This concrete screw is not intended for hollow or thin-walled substrates where there is no solid backing; in such cases, a different anchor type designed for hollow materials should be used. It may not be appropriate for heavy structural loads that require certified heavy-duty anchors or chemical anchoring systems; consult load tables and engineering requirements for high-load or safety-critical applications.
Drill a hole in the concrete using the recommended drill bit size for M8 concrete screws and clear drilling debris from the hole. Position the screw through the fixture and engage the thread into the drilled hole, driving it with a socket or torque-controlled wrench until the required embedment or clamping is achieved. Observe manufacturer torque recommendations and ensure the fixture sits flush; if the substrate is cracked or weak, select an alternative anchoring method.
Use a hammer drill with the correct carbide masonry bit and remove dust from the hole before installation; tighten to the recommended torque and avoid over-tightening to preserve the mechanical properties of the anchor. For safety-critical or high-load connections, refer to structural guidelines and consider professional assessment to select an appropriate anchor system.
