Construction Screws Koelner/Rawlplug 6.0x70 mm Partial Thread Countersunk Head, Pack of 6
Koelner/Rawlplug construction screws 6.0x70 mm with partial thread and a countersunk head are intended for fastening wood and structural elements where a smooth shank and a flush finish are required. Each pack contains six screws designed to provide strong clamping and good pull-out resistance in soft and medium-density timber. The countersunk head allows the fastener to sit flush with or below the surface for subsequent filling or finishing.
These construction screws combine a partial threaded shank for controlled clamping with a tapered countersunk head that enables a neat, recessed finish. The geometry of the thread and shank supports reliable pull-out resistance and accurate alignment of joined parts. Supplied in small, manageable packs, they are suitable for on-site use and smaller projects where a permanent, concealed fastening is needed.
These screws are intended for use in timber and similar structural materials; they are not suitable for direct fastening into concrete, masonry, or metal without appropriate anchors or predrilled inserts. For heavy-load structural connections that require specialized engineered fasteners or higher corrosion resistance in aggressive outdoor environments, alternative screws or coated fasteners may be more appropriate.
Select an appropriate pilot hole size for the nominal diameter and timber density to reduce splitting and ensure correct seating of the countersunk head. Drive the screw with a compatible bit at controlled speed until the head is flush with or slightly below the work surface. Use clamps or temporary fastenings to maintain alignment of parts while inserting screws. For external or wet environments, verify material corrosion resistance or use additional protective coatings.
For secure and neat results, pre-drill pilot holes appropriate to timber density, use a torque-controlled driver to avoid overdriving, and countersink to the depth required for filling or surface finishing. Store packs in a dry place to preserve surface condition.
