Construction screws Koelner/Rawlplug 6.0x120 mm partial thread, countersunk head, pack 4 pcs
Set of Koelner/Rawlplug construction screws 6.0x120 mm with partial thread and countersunk (conical) head, supplied as a pack of 4 pieces. These screws are designed for structural fastening where a flush head finish and a solid shank are required. Typical applications include wood-to-wood and wood-to-metal connections in carpentry, framing, decking substructure and general mechanical assembly tasks on construction sites.
The partial thread provides a solid unthreaded shank portion that pulls two workpieces tightly together while the countersunk head allows the fastener to sit flush with or below the surface for a neat finish. Manufactured for construction use, these screws combine strength in the shank with secure thread engagement in the mating material. Supplied in a small pack of 4 pieces, the set is suitable for repair jobs, sample fitting and small-scale installations where a limited quantity is needed.
These screws are intended for mechanical fastening in wood and wood-to-metal applications. They may not be the best choice for fastening into masonry, concrete, gypsum board without appropriate anchors, or for applications that require full-length threading. Also, for large-scale projects where bulk packaging, corrosion-resistant coatings or specialized fastener grades are required, other screw types or larger packs may be more appropriate.
Select the correct pilot hole diameter and drilling depth for the 6.0 mm screw and the material being joined to reduce splitting and ensure proper pull-in. Position the parts to be joined, insert the screw through the top piece and drive it until the countersunk head is flush with the surface or slightly below, depending on the finish required. Use a compatible driver bit and controlled torque to avoid head damage and to preserve the partial thread performance. If fastening into metal, predrill holes in the metal member as recommended for the screw diameter.
For best results, use a pilot drill sized for dense or softwood as recommended for 6 mm diameter screws, and apply steady driver speed and moderate torque. When a completely flush finish is required, countersink the top material before driving. For outdoor or load-bearing applications, pair the screws with appropriate treated timber or protective coatings as necessary.
