Standing DHW heat exchanger with coil KOSPEL SWP-300 Termo Magnum, coil surface 2.6 m² for heat pumps
The KOSPEL SWP-300 Termo Magnum is a standing domestic hot water (DHW) heat exchanger with an internal coil offering a coil surface of 2.6 m². Designed for integration with heat pump systems, this indirect water heater separates the heat source circuit from the potable water circuit, providing stored sanitary hot water for residential and small commercial applications. The vertical tank construction delivers buffer capacity and stable hot water delivery when used with low-temperature heat generators such as heat pumps.
The SWP-300 Termo Magnum provides a compact, corrosion-resistant storage solution with a brazed internal coil that enables efficient heat transfer from the heat pump circuit to the domestic water. Its standing configuration simplifies installation in plant rooms or utility spaces and reduces the need for additional external heat exchangers. The internal coil area of 2.6 m² supports effective energy exchange at moderate flow rates, while the tank design minimizes heat loss and supports stratification for improved hot water availability.
Install the SWP-300 Termo Magnum vertically on a leveled, load-bearing surface in a technical room or utility area. Connect the heat pump circuit to the coil inlet and outlet according to the system designer's layout, and connect the potable water lines to the domestic water ports. Ensure proper hydraulic balancing, appropriate safety and temperature controls, and compliance with local plumbing and heating regulations. Commission the unit by flushing and filling the system, checking for leaks, and configuring control settings on the heat pump to regulate charging cycles and target water temperature.
For optimal performance with heat pumps, maintain moderate flow rates through the internal coil and use temperature controls that allow gradual charging to promote stratification. Periodically inspect connections and anode protection (if present) and follow the manufacturer's guidance for water quality and maintenance to prolong service life.
