AV receiver Kramer Electronics TP-789RXR
TP−789Rxr is a high‑performance HDBaseT receiver designed to extend 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) HDMI video, multi‑channel audio, Ethernet, RS‑232 and IR control signals up to 100 m (330 ft) over twisted‑pair copper cable. The unit supports bidirectional Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing it to either supply power to a remote PoE acceptor (for example a PoE wall plate) or accept PoE from a remote provider, detected automatically. The compact fanless enclosure is suitable for dropped‑ceiling mounting or side‑by‑side 1U rack installation with the recommended adapter.
The receiver provides extended‑reach digital video at up to 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) 24bpp and longer reach for lower resolutions, with full HDMI 2.0 feature support including deep color, x.v.Color™, lip sync, uncompressed audio, Dolby TrueHD and DTS‑HD. Kramer’s I‑EDIDPro™ intelligent EDID handling simplifies plug‑and‑play operation between source and display. Bidirectional Ethernet, RS‑232 and IR enable networked device control and remote operation. Status LEDs and local firmware upgrade via RS‑232 simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
Connect the TP‑789Rxr to an HDBaseT transmitter using a single twisted‑pair copper cable (use recommended Kramer cable for optimal performance). Connect HDMI source and display devices at the transmitter and receiver ends as required. If using PoE, the receiver will auto‑sense the extension line and either accept power from a remote PoE provider or supply power to a remote PoE acceptor. Use the RS‑232 and IR ports for remote control and device management, and the Ethernet port to extend LAN connectivity. Monitor the front‑panel LEDs for link, HDMI and PoE status and perform firmware updates via RS‑232 when needed.
For best extension reach and reliability, use Kramer‑recommended copper cables and keep cable runs within specified limits. Ensure compatible HDBaseT‑compliant transmitters/receivers and verify PoE power budgets when chaining PoE devices.
