VP−440X is a high-performance 18G 4K HDR presentation switcher/scaler with four HDMI inputs and one computer graphics (VGA) input. It scales video and embeds audio to two identical outputs — HDMI and HDBaseT — and also provides an unbalanced analog stereo audio output. Over HDBaseT the unit extends video up to 40 m (130 ft) over CAT copper cable at up to 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) 24bpp and supports longer distances for lower HD resolutions. The compact black aluminum housing and ½ 19” size allow installation in a 1U rack with the recommended adapter.

Advantages

The scaler offers up‑scaling, down‑scaling and cross‑scaling up to 4K@60 (4:4:4) with selectable output resolution and automatic chroma down‑sampling on the HDBaseT output when operating at 18G 4K. Smooth switching provides constant output sync to prevent glitches during input changes, even if a source has no signal. Audio handling is flexible: dedicated unbalanced analog audio can be embedded per input, a front‑panel microphone input supports mixing and talk‑over, and built‑in DSP provides equalization, mixing, delay and ducking. The unit is HDCP 2.2/1.4 and HDR10 compliant, supports EDID pass‑through and CEC forwarding, and provides bidirectional RS‑232 over the extension line for device control. Multiple control methods are available including front panel OSD, web interface over Ethernet, RS‑232 serial control, and contact closure for remote source switching and display ON/OFF.
