Slipper torque wrench KS Tools 516.1442
The KS Tools 516.1442 is a mechanical slipper torque wrench with a 500 mm length and a weight of 1.3 kg, designed to measure and apply torque in Nm for controlled fastening tasks. It features a double scale in Nm and lbf·ft, an integrated micrometer scale for fine adjustment and a large vision panel with magnifier for precise reading. The tool includes a ratchet head with an ejection mechanism and a square drive adaptor with ball lock compliant with DIN 3120 / ISO 1174. Each wrench is individually marked with a serial number and delivered with a calibration declaration of conformity according to DIN EN ISO 6789:2017(E), traceable to national standards.
The wrench provides ±3% actuation accuracy of the set scale value and guarantees precise readings for a minimum of 5,000 tightening cycles. It allows controlled fastening in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions and gives an audible and palpable signal when the set torque is reached. The tool uses a 30-tooth ratchet mechanism for exact gearing, a quick torque setting via a locking knob at the handle end, and a secure locking function inside the handle. The two-component ergonomic handle with a soft zone improves grip comfort during use.
Select the required torque value using the slide-in knob at the handle end and fine-tune with the micrometer scale visible through the magnified vision panel. Set the rotation direction by rotating the square drive piece to clockwise or counter-clockwise as needed. Use the locking knob to secure the torque setting and apply force until an audible and palpable signal indicates the preset torque has been reached. The ejection mechanism on the ratchet head allows quick removal of sockets or adapters.
Regularly verify calibration according to the supplied declaration of conformity and national standards. Avoid exceeding the specified torque range and perform routine inspections of the ratchet mechanism, drive adaptor and handle locking to ensure continued accuracy and safety.
