The KS Tools 907.2261 putty knife is a compact hand tool designed for precise application and smoothing of putty, filler and similar materials. Weighing approximately 70 g, this lightweight spatula offers controlled handling for tasks that require accuracy and a steady hand. The tool combines a rigid blade and an ergonomic handle profile to support repeated use in repair, finishing and small-scale construction work.
Advantages
The putty knife features a slim, durable blade that maintains its shape during pressure, enabling even spreading and accurate feathering of compound edges. Its low weight reduces user fatigue during extended use, while the ergonomic grip improves control on tight or detailed areas. Built from materials intended for long-term use, the tool resists bending in normal application scenarios and is easy to clean after use.
Suitable for

- Small plaster repairs and patching work
- Precision scraping of loose material and paint preparation
- DIY projects, renovation and light carpentry finishing
Key specifications
- Overall weight: approx. 70 g
- Blade: rigid flat blade suitable for spreading and scraping
- Handle: ergonomically shaped for improved grip and control
- Intended use: manual application and finishing of putty and filler materials
How to use
Before use, ensure surfaces are clean and free of dust or loose particles. Scoop or load a small amount of putty onto the blade edge and apply to the work area, pressing firmly while holding the tool at a shallow angle to achieve a smooth, even layer. Use continuous, overlapping strokes to feather edges and remove excess material. After the filler begins to set, re-smooth the area with light passes for a uniform finish. Clean the blade with a suitable solvent or water according to the material used to prevent residue buildup.
Usage recommendations
For best results, select a blade width appropriate to the repair size and maintain consistent pressure during spreading. Store the tool dry and clean to prevent corrosion and maintain blade straightness. When working with chemical-based fillers, follow safety instructions for ventilation and skin protection.
