Auger drill bit KWB 042906
Auger drill bit KWB 042906 is an industrial-quality wood bit with a Japan snake-type point and a main cutting edge ground for tear-free drilling in both soft and hard woods. Made from CV steel with a bright ground finish and black coating, it has a 1/4" hexagonal shank (ISO 1173, E 6.3) for use in battery-powered and corded drills. The special super-sharp point produces small chips that are quickly expelled, enabling precise and effortless drilling in wooden beams and visible wood surfaces.
The special point and main cutting edge deliver absolutely tear-free holes and reduce splintering on visible surfaces. The hexagonal 1/4" shank fits standard chucks and holders for stable power transmission. CV steel construction with a bright grind provides durability and consistent cutting performance, while the black finish improves tool handling and wear resistance during woodwork.
Secure the auger bit in the drill chuck or hex holder designed for a 1/4" E 6.3 shank. Use right-hand rotation and apply steady, even pressure; allow the bit to cut without forcing to maintain tear-free edges. Clear wood chips regularly during deep drilling to prevent clogging and to keep cutting efficient. Use appropriate drill speed for the wood type—slower for hard woods and higher for soft woods.
For best results when drilling in visible surfaces, start with a light pilot contact to position the bit, then increase pressure steadily. Keep the bit sharp and clean; replace if worn to avoid splintering. When working with very hard or resinous woods, reduce speed and withdraw the bit occasionally to clear chips.
