Masonry drill bit KWB ROCKER 044650
The KWB ROCKER 044650 masonry drill bit is a tungsten-carbide-tipped, hammer-resistant bit designed for drilling in concrete, masonry, natural and reconstituted stone, granite and limestone. Manufactured to ISO 5468 with high-temperature brazed, laterally and vertically secured carbide plates and an asymmetrical profile spiral, the bit provides effective chip removal and durability for rotary and impact drilling applications. It is supplied as a single piece with a chemical black finish and a ground spiral for consistent performance.
This masonry drill bit combines a tungsten carbide tip and high-temperature brazing to deliver wear resistance and long life. The laterally and vertically secured carbide plates increase tip stability under hammering loads, while the asymmetrical profile spiral and chip-removing geometry improve waste evacuation and reduce clogging. The chemical black finish protects the flute surface and the ground spiral ensures precise drilling and reduced friction.
Choose the appropriate drill diameter and secure the KWB ROCKER 044650 in the chuck of a rotary or impact drill. When drilling into masonry or stone, start at low speed to position the bit, then increase speed while applying steady pressure. For hammer drilling, allow the tool to do the work without excessive force to avoid premature wear. Withdraw the bit occasionally to clear debris when drilling deep holes and maintain firm, aligned support to prevent bit bending.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask, hearing protection) and follow the drill manufacturer's guidance for speed and mode selection. For reinforced concrete, check for rebar before drilling and select the correct drill type if metal is present.
