Masonry drill bit kwb ROCKER 044660
The kwb ROCKER 044660 masonry drill bit is a single-piece, tungsten carbide-tipped drill designed for effective drilling in concrete, masonry and natural stone. Built to ISO 5468 standards, this drill bit combines a high-temperature brazed tip with laterally and vertically secured carbide plates and an asymmetrical spiral profile to enhance chip removal and maintain drilling precision. Its chemical black finish and ground spiral provide resistance to wear and reliable performance in both rotary and impact drilling modes.
The drill bit’s tungsten carbide tip and secure brazing deliver durable cutting performance and extended lifetime under repeated hammering. An asymmetrical profile spiral and chip-removing geometry reduce clogging and speed up drilling through dense materials. The chemical black finish provides additional surface protection, while the ground spiral ensures consistent centring and smooth feed during operation.
Select a drill size appropriate for the hole required and clamp the bit securely in the drill chuck. Start drilling at low speed to establish the hole and then increase speed or engage the hammer function as appropriate for the material. Apply steady pressure without forcing the bit; allow the carbide tip and spiral geometry to remove chips efficiently. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear debris and reduce heat build-up for longer tool life.
For best results when drilling dense concrete or granite, use a drill with adequate impact energy and maintain moderate feed pressure. Keep the bit clean from dust and debris, and replace the bit if the carbide tip shows heavy wear or chipping. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, when operating rotary or impact drills.
