Drill Bit KWB 206565 6.5 mm 1 pc(s)
The KWB 206565 drill bit is a 6.5 mm, precision-ground twist drill made to DIN 338 with right-hand cut (type N) and a self-colour finish. It has a 135° tip angle and a cross-ground geometry to DIN 1412 C for reliable self-centering. Supplied as a single piece in blister packaging, this cylindrical industrial-quality drill is suitable for drilling steel, alloyed steel, cast steel, die castings, sintered steel, non-ferrous metals and hard plastics.
This drill bit offers precision-ground flutes and a cross-ground point for accurate centring and clean hole starts. The 135° tip angle reduces walking on the material surface and improves guidance in tougher materials. Manufactured to DIN 338 and DIN 1412 C standards, the bit provides consistent geometry and industrial durability. The blister pack protects the tool during storage and handling.
Mark the drilling position and secure the workpiece to prevent movement. Use an appropriate drill chuck that accepts a 6.5 mm cylindrical shank. Select a rotational speed and feed rate suitable for the workpiece material (lower speeds for harder materials). Apply steady pressure and allow the drill to cut without excessive force; withdraw occasionally to clear chips when drilling deep holes. After use, clean the bit and store it in its blister to protect the cutting edges.
Use cutting fluid for drilling steel and alloyed materials to reduce heat and extend tool life. For non-ferrous metals and plastics, moderate speeds and light feed reduce burring and melting. Replace the bit if edges show wear or chipping to maintain hole quality.
