Masonry drill bit KWB 241140
The KWB 241140 masonry drill bit is designed for use with rotary hammers equipped with an SDS Plus shank. It has a self-centring tip and a multi-phase spiral geometry that ensures efficient removal of drilling waste while minimising friction, heat build-up and vibration. The bit is high-temperature brazed for durability and is certified by the German drill bit testing organisation (PGM) and meets the standards of the German Institute of Building Technology.
The SDS Plus shank provides a secure connection to compatible rotary hammers and supports right-hand rotation. The self-centring tip simplifies accurate hole starts in masonry. Multi-phase spiral flutes promote optimal waste evacuation, reducing clogging and improving drilling speed. High-temperature brazing increases tip strength and resistance to wear. Certification by PGM and conformity with German building-technology standards confirm consistent quality and suitability for professional use.
Insert the SDS Plus shank fully into the rotary hammer chuck until it locks. Select the appropriate drilling mode (hammer drilling) and set right-hand rotation. Position the self-centring tip at the marked drilling point and start at low speed to establish the hole, then increase speed and apply steady pressure while allowing the spiral flutes to evacuate debris. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear accumulated waste and avoid overheating.
Use personal protective equipment (safety goggles, ear protection and dust mask) when drilling. Match drill diameter to anchor or fixture requirements and avoid excessive force; let the tool do the work. For prolonged drilling, permit cooling periods to preserve tip life.
