Masonry drill bit KWB 262172
The KWB 262172 masonry drill bit is a single SDS Plus shank tool designed for drilling into hard materials such as brick and concrete. It features a self-centring tip and a standard spiral flute, with high-temperature brazed construction for enhanced durability. Compatible with SDS Plus hammer drills, it is suitable for both professional and DIY use where reliable masonry drilling is required.
The SDS Plus shank ensures quick, secure mounting in compatible hammer drills and reduces slippage during use. The self-centring tip improves hole placement and reduces walking at the start of drilling. High-temperature brazing strengthens the cutting tip for longer life when working with abrasive masonry. The standard spiral flute efficiently clears dust and debris from the hole, maintaining drilling speed.
Insert the drill bit into the SDS Plus chuck of a compatible hammer drill until it locks in place. Select the hammer drilling mode appropriate for masonry. Position the self-centring tip on the marked spot, start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then increase pressure and speed as needed while maintaining straight alignment. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust if drilling deep holes.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) and follow the hammer drill manufacturer's instructions. For improved bit life, avoid excessive side pressure and allow the bit to cool between long drilling runs.
