Wire wheel KWB 609310 7.5 cm
The KWB 609310 wire wheel is a 7.5 cm brass-wire brush with a 6 mm shank designed for corrosion-free, fine surface work. It is intended for cleaning, paint removal, polishing and achieving a matt finish on metal and stone surfaces. The compact wheel is suitable for working on narrow edges, frames, gratings and tubes and is compatible with drills and rotary tools that accept a 6 mm shank.
The brass-wire construction resists corrosion while remaining softer than steel wire, which reduces the risk of surface damage on softer metals. Crimped wire gives controlled brushing action for fine cleaning, paint removal and polishing. The 7.5 cm diameter and 6 mm shank provide good access to confined spaces such as edges, frames and tubular components. The brush is suitable for repeated use when used according to tool and safety guidelines.
Fit the wire wheel to a compatible drill or rotary tool with a 6 mm chuck or collet. Securely tighten the tool’s chuck before use. With the tool switched off, position the brush on the workpiece and start the tool at low speed to check orientation and contact. Increase speed as required, applying light, even pressure and moving the wheel across the surface to remove rust, paint or to polish. Avoid excessive pressure and do not jam the wheel. After use, clean debris from the brush and inspect wire condition; replace the brush if wires are excessively worn or damaged.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment: eye protection, gloves and a dust mask. Follow the drill or rotary tool manufacturer’s speed and safety recommendations. Do not use the brush on materials where brass wire may cause undesirable scratching; test on an inconspicuous area first.
