Cable Crimper Lanberg NT-0203 Black Blue
The Lanberg NT-0203 Cable Crimper is a compact, dual-function tool designed for precise crimping of modular connectors on network and telephone cables. Finished in black and blue, this tool combines a standard crimper for RJ45, RJ11, RJ12 and RJ14 plugs with an integrated twisted-pair tester located in the cradle handles. The tester can be detached from the crimper to operate independently; it is powered by four LR44 batteries (not included). The tool also features cutting blades and insulation-stripping blades suitable for flat cables, making it a practical choice for on-site network installations and repairs.
The Lanberg NT-0203 offers a durable construction with a comfortable grip that supports repeated use while maintaining control and accuracy during crimping. Its 2-in-1 design reduces the need to carry separate tools by combining crimping and cable testing functions in one handheld device. Built-in cutting and stripping blades streamline cable preparation, and the detachable tester increases flexibility for verifying connections during installation or troubleshooting.
Strip the cable jacket to expose the conductors and arrange the wires according to the required wiring standard. Insert the prepared modular plug onto the cable until the conductors reach the plug pins. Place the plug into the appropriate die for the connector type (RJ45, RJ11, RJ12, RJ14) and squeeze the handles firmly and evenly to complete the crimp. Use the built-in cutting blades to trim excess conductors and the insulation-stripping blades to remove outer jacket material when necessary. Detach the tester from the cradle handles if you need to test cable continuity or pair order separately; install four LR44 batteries into the tester before use.
The tool is intended for modular plug crimping and basic cable testing; for repeated heavy-duty use or very thick cable jackets, inspect blades and dies regularly and replace batteries in the tester to ensure accurate results. Always verify wiring order before crimping and use the tester to confirm connectivity after termination.
