How to use

Connect one part of the tester to one end of the cable and attach the terminator to the opposite end. Select the desired speed mode (normal or slow) and switch on the tester. Observe the LED sequence to verify continuity, pair order and shielding. The device will indicate open wires, short-circuits and crossed or reversed pairs; for shielded cables check that the shield indicator shows correct continuity to the modular plug. For telephone or coaxial checks, use the corresponding connector on the tester and the terminator as required.

Usage recommendations

Use fresh 9 V batteries and ensure both tester parts are securely connected to the cable ends; avoid testing live mains-voltage lines. When diagnosing faults, start with the slow mode for clearer LED indication and verify suspected faulty segments at both ends and at intermediate patch points.
