Access Point LANCOM LX-6500 Bulk 10 2.4 GHz 5 GHz 6 GHz
Access Point LANCOM LX-6500 Bulk 10 2.4 GHz 5 GHz 6 GHz
The LANCOM LX-6500 is a tri-band Wi‑Fi 6E access point supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and the new 6 GHz band to provide high-throughput, low-interference wireless connectivity. As a business-grade access point it aggregates the available WLAN spectrum to deliver combined data rates and improved capacity for modern, bandwidth-demanding applications while offering flexible management and power options.
The LANCOM LX-6500 uses Wi‑Fi 6E to open an interference-reduced 6 GHz band and increases the total radio spectrum for higher aggregated throughput and lower latency. It supports 4x4 MU‑MIMO in both downlink and uplink, OFDMA for efficient multi-client transmission, and Target Wake Time (TWT) to reduce client power consumption. Management can be done via LANCOM Management Cloud, WEBconfig, or a WLAN controller. The device supports PoE (IEEE 802.3bt) or an optional power supply and includes Bluetooth Low Energy (5.1) and USB 3.0 for IoT integration.
Install the LX-6500 at a central, elevated location to maximize coverage and minimize obstructions. Connect to a PoE-capable Ethernet port (IEEE 802.3bt recommended) or attach the optional power supply. Configure the device using the LANCOM Management Cloud for centralized orchestration, WEBconfig for local web-based setup, or through an existing WLAN controller. Allocate SSIDs and security settings (EAP methods supported) and map clients to preferred bands to balance load across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz.
For best performance in high-density environments, use a PoE++ (4PPoE) switch to ensure full power delivery, enable band steering to place modern clients into the 6 GHz band, and monitor client distribution via cloud or controller tools to optimize channel planning and avoid local interference.
