The LANCOM LW-700 (Bulk 5) is a compact Wi‑Fi 7 access point designed for small to medium environments requiring modern, energy‑efficient wireless connectivity. It supports concurrent operation in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, offers Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and advanced modulation for higher throughput, and can be managed via LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), the WEBconfig web interface, or a WLAN controller. The device features an unobtrusive white housing and integrated antennas suitable for hotels, offices, medical practices and similar installations. Its 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port and Power over Ethernet (PoE) support simplify deployment and power delivery.
The LANCOM LW-700 combines Wi‑Fi 7 performance with a compact, field‑ready housing and energy optimization. Multi‑Link Operation and Multi‑RU support improve bandwidth utilization and reduce latency in mixed‑device environments, while 4096‑QAM increases spectral efficiency for higher data rates. Centralized or local management options provide operational flexibility; cloud‑based LANCOM Active Power Control reduces energy consumption through dynamic capacity adjustments and a dedicated Sustainability Mode. The flattened, discreet design and mounting compatibility with previous LANCOM models facilitate simple retrofit and aesthetic integration.
Install the LANCOM LW‑700 on a suitable ceiling or wall location using the included mounting plate and follow site planning guidelines to ensure optimal coverage. Connect the device to the network via the 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port and provide power using an IEEE 802.3at PoE switch or injector. For initial configuration, access the unit locally through the WEBconfig interface, adopt it into a WLAN controller, or register and manage it via the LANCOM Management Cloud for centralized provisioning. Configure SSIDs, security settings (WPA2/WPA3), radio profiles and any VLAN segmentation according to your network policy. Monitor status, performance and energy consumption through the chosen management platform.
Place access points to avoid physical obstructions and electromagnetic interference sources; use the cloud or controller management to enable LANCOM Active Radio Control (ARC 2.0) and LANCOM Active Power Control for automated channel optimization and energy savings. For environments with high client density or real‑time applications, enable OFDMA/MLO features and verify firmware is up to date to ensure optimal performance and security.
