Video cable adapter LechPol DisplayPort (male) to VGA (D-Sub) Black
Video cable adapter LechPol DisplayPort (male) to VGA (D-Sub) Black
LechPol DisplayPort (male) to VGA (D-Sub) Black is a single-piece video cable adapter designed to convert a DisplayPort video output to an analog VGA input. The adapter connects a DisplayPort-equipped source such as a laptop or desktop to legacy monitors, projectors and other VGA displays. It provides a compact, passive conversion solution where the source supports dual-mode DisplayPort (DP++), allowing straightforward connection without additional power or drivers in compatible systems.
This adapter offers a simple and space-saving way to bridge digital DisplayPort outputs and analog VGA displays, eliminating the need for a bulky separate cable and converter box. The one-piece design reduces cable clutter and provides a reliable mechanical connection with standard DisplayPort and VGA interfaces. Being plug-and-play on systems that support DP++, it requires no software installation and is ready for immediate connection in most common use cases.
This adapter relies on the DisplayPort source supporting DP++ (DisplayPort Dual-Mode) to output an analog VGA signal. If the source does not support DP++ or requires an active conversion, this passive adapter will not provide a signal. It is not suitable for converting VGA signals to DisplayPort, nor does it convert to higher-resolution digital formats beyond VGA's analog capabilities.
Insert the DisplayPort male connector into the DisplayPort output on the source device until it clicks. Connect a VGA cable from the VGA (D-Sub) female end of the adapter to the VGA input on the monitor or projector. Power on both devices and select the appropriate input on the display. In systems with DP++ support the adapter will present the analog VGA signal immediately; adjust display resolution and refresh rate from the operating system settings if necessary to match the capabilities of the target VGA device.
The adapter is intended for straightforward, short- to medium-length desktop and presentation use where an analog VGA display must be driven from a DisplayPort source that supports DP++. For higher resolutions or devices without DP++ support, consider an active DisplayPort-to-VGA converter with its own power source and signal processing.
