Server Rack 2U Lenovo ThinkSystem SR655 V3 with AMD EPYC 9115, 32 GB DDR5, 750 W PSU
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR655 V3 is a 1-socket, 2U rack server equipped with an AMD EPYC 9115 processor (2.6 GHz) and 32 GB of DDR5-SDRAM (1 x 32 GB). Designed for data-centre use, the SR655 V3 supports up to 12 DIMM slots, RAID configurations, PCIe 5.0 I/O, and a 750 W power supply with redundant-PSU capability. It is intended to deliver high single-socket performance for virtualization, databases and enterprise workloads in a compact 2U chassis.
The SR655 V3 combines a high-core AMD EPYC platform with DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 support to provide strong compute and I/O density in a single-socket 2U form factor. With 12 DIMM slots and support for up to 1,500 GB of memory, it offers flexible memory expansion for memory-intensive applications. RAID support and a 750 W power supply with redundant-PSU options increase reliability for rack deployments.
This server is a single-socket design; environments that require multi-socket scaling for very large parallel workloads may be better served by dual-socket systems. Extremely small edge deployments with strict space or weight constraints might find the 2U rack chassis and 38.8 kg weight less appropriate.
Install the SR655 V3 into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rails. Populate memory modules into the 12 DIMM slots according to the memory population rules in the Lenovo hardware guide to achieve optimal performance. Configure RAID as required for your storage devices and install the desired operating system; the server ships without an OS by default. Connect power to redundant circuits if high availability is required and configure BIOS/firmware settings to match your workload profile.
For virtualization and database workloads, populate memory evenly across DIMM channels and enable processor and BIOS features recommended by Lenovo for AMD EPYC platforms. Use redundant power feeds and RAID configurations for production environments to improve uptime.
