Description

The LevelOne FVT-2001 MMF SC media converter converts network signals between copper Ethernet and multi-mode fiber-optic links. It provides a 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 port, an SC 100Base-FX fiber interface at 1310 nm and supports auto-sensing for 10Base-T and 100Base-TX. When used with multi-mode fiber cabling, the converter extends network range up to 2 km. The device supports standalone operation or slide-in mounting in the CHV-2000 19" Converter Chassis (up to 14 units).

Advantages

The FVT-2001 supports full and half duplex operation and auto-negotiation on the copper port to match network speed and duplex settings. Built-in DIP switches implement Smart LFP (Link Fault Pass-through) to monitor fiber and copper ports for signal loss and to control transmission and negotiation modes. Compact design, low power requirement (5 V, 1 A) and LED indicators for link and activity simplify installation and status monitoring.

Install the FVT-2001 as a standalone unit or slide it into the CHV-2000 chassis. Connect the RJ-45 copper link to the 10/100Base-TX port and the multi-mode SC fiber cable to the 100Base-FX port.
