How to use

To install the printer ribbon, first ensure that your dot matrix printer is turned off and unplugged to prevent any accidental movement. Open the printer cover and carefully remove the old ribbon cartridge by releasing any locking clips or lifting it out according to your printer's user manual. Unpack the new Lexmark ribbon, taking care not to touch or tangle the nylon band. Insert the cartridge firmly into the designated slot, guiding the ribbon into place between the print head and the guide guides. Rotate the manual knob on the cartridge slightly to take up any slack in the ribbon. Close the printer cover, turn the device back on, and run a test print to verify proper alignment and clear output.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify your specific printer model against the compatible series list to ensure a correct fit
• Confirm that your daily printing volume aligns with a standard character yield ribbon
• Check the storage environment to ensure supplies are kept away from extreme heat and moisture

Usage recommendations: Store unused printer ribbons in their original packaging at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and high humidity, to preserve the integrity of the ink and material over time.
