The cable contains an integrated chipset to improve compatibility with both dual-mode and non-dual-mode graphics sources and supports resolutions up to 4096x2160 at 60 Hz with High Dynamic Range (HDR). It features a DisplayPort connector on one end and an HDMI connector on the other and is intended for connecting DP-equipped desktops, laptops and graphics cards to HDMI displays without separate adapters.

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end to the DP output on your laptop, desktop or graphics card and connect the HDMI end to the target HDMI display or projector. Ensure the source device is set to output video (and audio if required) over DisplayPort. If the display does not automatically select the HDMI input, choose the correct HDMI input using the display’s input/source menu. Usage recommendations

Audio over HDMI is available only when the source graphics adapter supports audio output over DisplayPort. Some integrated graphics adapters (for example certain Mobile Intel chipsets) do not support audio over DisplayPort even if HDMI audio drivers are present; in those cases use a separate audio connection. Also note that some NVIDIA drivers may not provide full 4:4:4 chroma at 4K@60Hz when converting from DP/mDP to HDMI and may fall back to 4:2:2.
