ALPEN Drills FORCE X SDS+ Hammer Drill Bit 16 mm
ALPEN Drills FORCE X SDS+ Hammer Drill Bit 16 mm
The ALPEN Drills FORCE X SDS+ hammer drill bit is a high-performance tool engineered for demanding drilling tasks in concrete and masonry. Featuring a 16 mm diameter and a 260 mm total length, this drill bit is designed for use with rotary hammers equipped with an SDS Plus chuck. Its construction includes four tungsten carbide cutting edges that ensure efficient performance even when encountering steel reinforcement within concrete. The bit utilizes a progressive spiral design that facilitates rapid dust removal and vibration-free operation, contributing to consistent and precise drilling results.
The primary advantage of this drill bit is its four-cutter carbide head, which prevents jamming when hitting rebar, making it highly reliable for reinforced concrete applications. The progressive spiral geometry significantly improves drilling speed by effectively transporting debris out of the hole. Additionally, the integrated dowel length indicator allows users to achieve precise drilling depths, ensuring that anchors and fasteners fit correctly every time.
This drill bit is specifically optimized for concrete and masonry materials and is not intended for drilling into wood, metal, or ceramic tiles. Using this tool on materials other than those specified may result in premature wear of the carbide edges or damage to the workpiece.
Insert the drill bit into the SDS Plus chuck of your rotary hammer until it clicks into place. Ensure the tool is set to hammer-drill mode. Position the tip of the drill bit against the marked spot on the surface. Apply steady, moderate pressure while maintaining a perpendicular angle to the material. Allow the drill bit to perform the work, and periodically retract the bit slightly during deep drilling to assist in clearing dust from the hole.
Usage recommendations: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety goggles and hearing protection, when operating a rotary hammer. Ensure the drill bit is cool before handling it immediately after use, as it may become hot during operation.
