Longshine PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Network Card LCS-8337TXR2 – PCIe x1, 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, Ethernet, Black
The Longshine PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Network Card LCS-8337TXR2 is an internal wired network adapter designed to provide reliable 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet connectivity via a PCI Express x1 slot. The card is black and supports standard Ethernet protocols, enabling desktops and workstations to access up to 1 Gbit/s wired networks with auto-negotiation and common management features.
The adapter supports full compatibility with IEEE 802.3 family standards and offers automatic speed and duplex negotiation, Auto-MDI/MDI-X crossover, and full duplex flow control. It fits into a PCIe x1 slot (and is compatible with x4/x8/x16 slots physically) to provide a simple hardware upgrade path to Gigabit Ethernet. Basic diagnostic LEDs and Wake-On-LAN support add practical management and power features for desktop environments.
This card is an internal PCI Express x1 network adapter and is not suitable for systems without an available PCIe slot or for devices that require wireless connectivity. It does not provide multi-gigabit speeds above 1 Gbit/s and therefore is not intended for networks that require higher-than-1 Gbit/s throughput.
Power down the PC and open the case according to the system manual. Insert the card into an available PCI Express x1 slot (the card also fits into x4/x8/x16 slots) and secure it to the chassis. Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port and restore power. Install the appropriate driver for your operating system if it is not installed automatically; drivers are available for Windows and for Linux kernel 4.x or later. Verify link and activity using the on-board LEDs and confirm network settings in the operating system.
For stable Gigabit performance, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cabling, keep drivers up to date, and verify that switch or router ports are configured for 1 Gbit/s operation. Enable Wake-On-LAN and ACPI power options in BIOS/OS if remote wake and power management are required.
