Mold Lurch Ice Former sphere 64 mm, set of 2 pieces
Lurch Ice Former sphere 64 mm, set of 2 pieces is a pair of sphere-shaped ice molds designed to produce large, uniform ice balls for drinks, cocktails and food presentation. Each mold forms a 64 mm (6.4 cm) diameter sphere using a separated single-chamber principle that supports faster freezing and consistent shape. Constructed from food-safe platinum silicone with plastic components and a removable lid, the set is intended for home bars, catering and restaurant use where slow-melting ice and attractive presentation are desired.
The silicone and plastic combination provides flexibility for easy demolding while maintaining shape stability during freezing. The separated single-chamber design reduces freezing time and helps create clear, evenly formed spheres. Large spherical ice melts slower than standard cubes, keeping beverages colder longer with less dilution. The removable lid and simple assembly make filling and storage straightforward, and the platinum silicone is neutral in taste and resistant to fruit acids.
Fill the lower part of each mold with water up to the indicated level, place the removable lid and close the top section. Place the molds flat in the freezer and leave until fully frozen. After freezing, release the ice spheres by removing the lid and gently pressing the silicone mold; if the spheres are difficult to release, let the mold rest at room temperature for about 2 minutes or briefly run under cold water to ease removal. Handle the formed spheres with clean tongs or scoops to transfer into glasses or serving dishes.
Use filtered or boiled and cooled water for clearer ice; fill carefully to avoid air pockets. Do not use sharp objects to remove the ice. Clean the molds with warm soapy water before first use and after each use. Store the molds dry and avoid exposure to direct heat sources.
