Outdoor Dusk Sensor MACLEAN MCE35, 2300W, IP44
MACLEAN MCE35 Outdoor Dusk Sensor is an automated light controller that switches lighting circuits according to ambient light levels. The device is designed for outdoor use with IP44 protection against splashing water and a rated switching capacity for typical outdoor lighting loads. It activates lights at low light levels and turns them off as natural light returns, simplifying control of garden, driveway and porch lighting.
The sensor provides automatic dusk-to-dawn switching that reduces the need for manual operation. With IP44 ingress protection it is suitable for external mounting where exposure to rain or splashes may occur. The unit supports a clear light-level threshold adjustment range and is compatible with common low- and medium-power lighting loads up to the device's rated capacity.
Install the dusk sensor on a stable exterior surface where it can detect ambient light without obstruction from nearby artificial lights. Connect the sensor into the lighting circuit following local wiring regulations and the manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Adjust the light-level threshold so the sensor switches the lights at the desired dusk/dawn point. Verify operation after installation and test the device across changing light conditions.
Place the sensor away from direct exposure to nearby lamps or reflective surfaces to avoid premature switching; if the installation area has strong artificial light, adjust the threshold or relocate the sensor to achieve correct dusk/dawn behaviour.
