Handheld Cut-Off Saw Makita DCE090T2X1
The Makita DCE090T2X1 handheld cut-off saw is a battery-powered, portable solution for cutting concrete and similar materials. Equipped with a 23 cm blade diameter and a maximum cutting depth of 8.8 cm, this cordless saw delivers high-speed performance with an idle speed of 6600 RPM. Its compact footprint (241 mm width, 554 mm depth, 283 mm height) and integrated hose routing make it suitable for use in confined spaces and on mobile job sites.
The tool combines cordless convenience with cutting performance typical of larger machines, enabling work without direct access to mains power. The internal hose routing reduces the risk of snagging and keeps the water supply connection secure during operation. Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) enhances operator safety by switching the motor off if the wheel suddenly slows or stops, reducing the risk of kickback or motor damage. Its compact dimensions and relatively light handling profile improve maneuverability and positioning for precise cuts.
Before use, install a compatible cutting wheel and ensure the battery is charged and correctly seated. If wet cutting is required, connect the water supply kit and route the hose through the internal channel to avoid external snagging. Position the saw on the workpiece with both hands on the controls, start the motor and allow the blade to reach full speed (6600 RPM idle) before making contact with the material. Feed the saw steadily, avoiding sudden changes in pressure that could cause wheel bind. If the AFT system detects an abrupt slowdown, the motor will cut power; wait and inspect the blade and work area before restarting.
Use appropriate diamond blades rated for concrete and masonry and wear suitable personal protective equipment (eye, hearing and respiratory protection). For wet cutting, ensure a steady water flow through the internally routed hose to reduce dust and cool the blade. Follow manufacturer guidance on battery care and avoid prolonged heavy overloads to extend tool life.
