Drill bit Makita D-44432 diamond core 14 mm for granite, marble, tile
Makita D-44432 diamond core 14 mm is a specialist drill bit designed to create precise holes in hard surfaces such as granite, marble and ceramic tile. The tool is intended for use with compatible rotary or core drilling tools and is suitable for wet drilling to reduce heat and extend diamond segment life. Its 14 mm diameter makes it appropriate for common anchor and pipe pass-through applications during tiling, countertop installation and stone repair.
The diamond cutting edge offers fast, consistent cutting performance on natural and engineered stone while minimising chipping when used with correct feed and cooling. The 14 mm core diameter provides a neat, accurate hole size with stable centring for repeatable results. Designed for wet drilling, the bit benefits from reduced friction and longer segment life when supplied with adequate water flow. The construction supports use on dense materials such as granite and marble as well as ceramic tiles.
This drill bit is not intended for general wood, soft plastics or metal drilling; using it on inappropriate materials can damage the diamond segments and reduce lifetime. It is optimised for wet drilling and may wear quickly if used dry or without adequate cooling; dry use is not recommended.
Mount the Makita D-44432 diamond core bit into a compatible holder or spindle on the drilling tool, ensuring a secure connection. Position the bit on the marked drilling point and start at low speed to establish a centration point. Apply steady, moderate pressure and maintain continuous water flow to keep the cutting edge cool and to remove slurry. Increase speed as appropriate for the tool and material, avoid excessive force or side loading, and periodically withdraw the bit to flush out debris. After drilling, clean the bit and store it dry.
Use the bit with continuous water cooling, moderate feed pressure and correct drilling speeds for stone and tile. For best results on granite and marble, start with a pilot run at lower speed for centring, then proceed with steady motion. Replace the bit when cutting becomes slow or produces excessive chipping.
