Cordless power tool kit Makita DLX4196JX1 — DDF489 drill, DGA504 grinder, DTD173 impact, DHR243 rotary hammer, 18V, 3×5.0Ah batteries, 2×MP chargers
Makita DLX4196JX1 is an 18V cordless power tool kit that combines a DDF489 drill/driver, DGA504 angle grinder, DTD173 impact driver and DHR243 rotary hammer in one set. The kit includes three 5.0Ah lithium‑ion batteries and two Makita MP chargers to keep tools running on construction, renovation and general maintenance tasks without relying on mains power. Each tool is designed for trade use with brushless motors or efficient power delivery to balance performance and runtime.
The kit provides a comprehensive set of tools for drilling, screwdriving, grinding and light demolition. Supplied batteries with 5.0Ah capacity extend operating time between charges, while two chargers reduce downtime when multiple operators or back‑to‑back shifts are involved. Compact cordless designs improve access in confined spaces compared with corded equivalents, and compatibility across the 18V LXT platform simplifies battery management.
This cordless kit is designed for typical trade and renovation tasks but may not replace heavy‑duty, continuous industrial equipment for prolonged high‑load applications. For very large demolition projects or production environments requiring 24/7 operation, corded high‑power machines or dedicated industrial systems could be more appropriate.
Charge the supplied batteries fully in the included MP chargers before first use. Fit the correct battery to the chosen tool and select the appropriate mode, speed or torque setting for the task. Use correct drill bits, screwdriver bits, discs or chisels specified for the material being worked. Maintain a stable stance and secure workpieces before operating cutting or hammering tools. After use, remove the battery, store it in a cool dry place and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance guidance for brushes, vents and tool fixtures.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves. Match disc type and size to the angle grinder and follow safe grinding practices. For drilling and hammering, start with pilot holes where applicable and use correct chisels for the material. Regularly inspect batteries and chargers for damage and follow charge/storage temperature recommendations to prolong battery life.
