How to use

Mount the SK700D on a stable surface or tripod and insert a charged 12V max CXT battery (sold separately). Power the unit on and allow the self-leveling mechanism to stabilize; self-leveling line stability is typically achieved within about 3 seconds. Use the 360° rotating base and fine vertical adjustment to position the vertical line and plumb point as needed. For extended-range detection of the laser line outdoors or in bright conditions, use a compatible Makita laser detector (sold separately). When finished, power off the unit, remove the battery, and store the laser in a protective case.

Usage recommendations

Use the SK700D indoors or in shaded areas for optimal visibility of the red laser line; for longer detection range in bright light, pair the unit with a Makita laser detector. Keep the recessed laser windows clean and avoid exposing the laser to heavy impacts or prolonged water immersion despite its IP54 rating.
