Description

The Manfrotto MVKN12TWINMC video system combines the NITROTECH N12 fluid video head (flat base) with the MVTTWINMC carbon-fiber twin-leg tripod with a 100 mm middle spreader. The NITROTECH N12 head provides a Nitrogen piston continuous counterbalance system for precise support of cameras and accessories from 4 to 12 kg at 55 mm centre of gravity. The head uses a variable fluid drag on both pan and tilt for smooth, judder-free movement and includes a 3/8” Easy Link with anti-rotation for mounting an external monitor or accessories. A sliding plate side-lock mechanism ensures safe, quick camera attachment, and the flat base features a standard 3/8” thread for compatibility with tripods, sliders, jibs or cranes. The head connects to the tripod via the 100 mm half ball.

Adjust the head counterbalance to match the camera payload within the 4–12 kg range using the Nitrogen piston control so the camera remains balanced throughout tilt movements. Set the desired fluid drag levels for pan and tilt to obtain smooth motion. Use the Easy Link to mount an external monitor or accessories if required. Adjust tripod leg angles with the telescopic mid-level spreader for stable positioning; remove the mid-level spreader if you need to fit a ground spreader (sold separately).

Usage recommendations

For stable operation, set counterbalance before performing critical pans or tilts and secure the leg locks on firm ground. Use spiked feet with rubber overshoes for mixed terrain, and convert the bowl to 75 mm only when your support or dolly requires that size. Store the system in the supplied padded bag when transporting.
