The Manfrotto FLUIDTECH MVMXPROBASE is a compact fluid base that brings 3D fluidity to the XPRO Monopod+, enabling smooth pan, tilt and swivel movement in a small, lightweight unit. Constructed from aluminum and steel, it converts XPRO Photo Monopods+ (except MMXPROA3B) into a video-capable monopod by replacing the monopod foot. The base supports up to 8 kg, measures 105 mm in compact length and weighs 0.45 kg, providing a portable solution for videographers who need controlled, steady camera motion.

Advantages

The FLUIDTECH system uses a spherical mechanism inside the base to deliver 3D fluid movement across pan, tilt and swivel axes, offering noticeably smoother motion than traditional monopod feet. How to use

Unscrew the existing foot of your compatible XPRO Photo Monopod+ and attach the FLUIDTECH MVMXPROBASE in its place, securing it according to the monopod's thread. Mount your camera on the monopod as usual. Use the spherical fluid base for smooth pan, tilt and swivel during recording; engage the vertical rotation lock when you want to restrict movement to panning. Note that the vertical lock does not guarantee full self-standing support when a camera is mounted.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, check that the monopod thread is clean and properly tightened after installation, and avoid exceeding the 8 kg maximum load. Use the vertical lock when primarily panning, and practice smooth movements to take full advantage of the FLUIDTECH damping.
