Camera Lens Adapter Walimex 17123
Adapter Ring set for macro photography that reduces the lens focusing distance to enable closer shooting. The set includes three extension rings (7 mm, 13 mm, 37 mm) and two bayonet rings which can be combined in any arrangement to achieve different reproduction ratios. Compatible with a wide range of Nikon DSLR models including D7000, D5000, D5100, D3100, D3000, D90, D80, D70, D70s, D60, D50, D40, D40x, D700, D300, D300S, D200, D100, D3x, D3, D2Xs, D2Hs, D2X, D2H, D1X and D1.
The adapter ring set increases the distance between camera sensor and lens (extension), which reduces the minimum focusing distance and allows closer magnified shots without a dedicated macro lens. Rings are made for lightweight handling and modular use: three different extension lengths and two bayonet rings provide flexible combinations for varied shooting distances. The design allows macro capability on many Nikon bodies while keeping overall weight low.
Select one or more intermediate rings and attach them between the camera body and the lens using the bayonet rings. Combine the 7 mm, 13 mm and 37 mm rings in the required order to achieve the desired extension and reproduction scale. Mount the lens to the adapter assembly, attach the assembly to the camera body, and set aperture and focus manually on the lens because electronic contacts are not transmitted through the rings.
Use a tripod or stable support for macro shooting to avoid camera shake at short working distances. Start with smaller extension (single ring) to check focus and exposure, then add rings as needed. Allow for reduced light transmission when using multiple rings and adjust exposure accordingly.
